Consumer Guarantees Act
The Consumer Guarantees Act is about the quality of the goods you manufacture or import. You are responsible for guaranteeing the quality of the goods you manufacture or import. Consumers can claim compensation from you if goods you manufacture or import are not of acceptable quality. You must ensure that repair facilities and spare parts are reasonably available for goods you manufacture or import.

Accurate measures
If you sell goods by weight or measure, provide weighing or measuring equipment, or services relating to such equipment you must comply with the Weights and Measure Act.

Fair Trading Act
The Fair Trading Act applies to all people in trade. You cannot contract out of the Fair Trading Act.
The Act prohibits people in trade from misleading or deceptive conduct in general. You do not have to intend to mislead or deceive, it is whether your actions did or could mislead or deceive.
