TRANSLATORS AND TEACHERS OF MĀORI
We recommend that all of the terms be considered carefully before they are used. In many instances the Māori word or words that are provided might need to be modified slightly so that they sit properly in a particular translation. The context of an English word will help determine how best to weave the Māori equivalent into the translation. We have given some examples of possible usages, to illustrate this.
