Consumer Affairs releases its new-look website
Take a look around - we hope you like our new site.
Welcome to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs' new website
We looked at how people use our website, and found that over 80% of you are consumers who have a problem you want to solve. That's why we've made the focus of redeveloped website on this audience, with prominence on the homepage and the addition of a new problem solver tool.
Redesign
Our new site has a fresh, clean look and is divided into six sections:
For Consumers contains information for consumers about their rights and consumer law and product safety information.
For Business contains information for businesses about their responsibilities and how to comply with the law.
Scams contains the Scamwatch section of our site where people can report a scam to us and get up to speed with the types of scams doing the rounds.
Legislation and Policy contains recent discussion documents, research and legislation and product safety standards information.
The Education section contains the ACE Consumer resource for teachers and students to learn all about their consumers rights.
About MCA contains all the information you'd expect to find about the Ministry - our mission, our organisation, what we do and don't do, key people, our media centre, publications, how to contact us and information on Consumer Representation.
Problem solver tool
We've also introduced a problem solver tool - a new feature that contains some of the most common consumer queries - and their answers.
Let us know what you think
