What to do if you've sent money.
What should I do right now?
- Contact your bank immediately to request assistance. They may be able to help you.
- Electronic transfer: the bank may be able to cancel it if it has not yet been processed.
- Cheque: ask the bank to load a "stop payment" on the cheque. This must be done before the scammer cashes it.
- Wire service, such as Western Union: BE QUICK. Ask them to stop the transfer.
