Betting Schemes

Scamwatch

What are betting schemes?

These are services selling software which guides people betting on horse races. Be wary of investing in such programmes without consulting with independent investment advisors and careful reading all the available material. Most of the schemes do not offer racing information for New Zealand tracks.

All bets are off! -10 September 2002

The New Zealand Commerce Commission announced that international co-operation between itself and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission resulted in successful court action against an ex-New Zealander (Robert James Price) for breaching the Australian Trade Practices Act. The Federal Court in Brisbane found that Mr Price had misled consumers in connection with the marketing and sale of horse betting software. The software was marketed under such names as "Autotab" "Offtrack" and "Solutions Software".

Report it!
