A virus or other harmful software may still be on your system.

Run a full system check using reliable virus protection software.

If you do not have this software already, install it, along with an internet barrier called a "firewall".

Netsafe, The Internet Safety Group provides information about protecting your computer, and you can access their site to find it. Netsafe also provide a Step by step guide to computer security.

Change all your passwords. The scammers may have access to them.

Keep your protection software up to date.

Don't respond in any way to unsolicited emails.

If in doubt, delete.
